As I look at my life in our beloved city of Summit, I have ...

Nonportfolio Assets and Your Asset Allocation Plan?

Classifying stock and bond investments to develop an asset allocation is pretty straightforward, the stocks are classified as equity and the bonds, for the most part, are classified as fixed income. How should investors account for other less tangible assets like their home, social security or a pension?  For many investors these assets represent half or more of their total wealth, yet are ...

In the Drink

On a recent trip to California I ordered a glass of lemonade with lunch.  My ice cold drink came without a straw.

I can’t drink lemonade without a straw.  Margaritas either.  For me, drinking from a glass without a straw is kind of like eating eating soup without a spoon.  Sooner or later liquid ends up all over my shirt.

Besides, it ...
