Lecture: The Summit Revolutionary War Beacon

History buffs and enthusiasts alike can go back over two hundred years and learn about New Jersey's part in the Revolutionary War through the Battle of Princeton and The Summit Revolutionary War Beacon.  For an international perspective, sign up for The Invasion of Normandy lecture.  These three informative lectures are free, open to the public and will be presented by John Kieser, Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), Tom McArdle, Movie battlefield consultant and David Siegfried, Sons of the American Revolution, former Trustee of Crossroads of the American Revolution.

The Summit Revolutionary War Beacon

The town of Summit was home to the “Signal Beacon No. 10” one of George Washington’s 23 Beacon’s that sent warnings to the Minute Men in times of danger during the Revolutionary War

The Invasion Of Normandy

The Western Allies of World War II launched the largest amphibious invasion in history when they assaulted Normandy, located on the northern coast of France, on June 6, 1944.

Battle of Princeton
Date: November 13
Day: Tuesday Age: 18+
Time: 1:00PM - 2:15PM
Cost: Free to All
The American victory at the Battle of Princeton was one of the most consequential of the American Revolution!

8/17/2018 11:25 am - FD dispatched to a DEBARY ROAD multi -family on a verbal report of a wire arcing in a tree behind the house  On arrival FD found rear service cables were missing spacers between 2 poles and the wires were touching. FD did not see any arcing or sparks. JCP&L was notified to respond and correct the problem.
