Meredith Margaret Damiano, 27, of Summit, formerly of Berkeley Heights passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.

Meredith Margaret Damiano, 27, of Summit, formerly of Berkeley Heights passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.

Meredith was an avid artist with a love for animals. She rescued many animals throughout the years. A human rights champion, Meredith visited with Senator Cory Booker numerous times to discuss the impact of Hurricane Sandy on her previous residence of Newark, NJ as well as other LGBTQ issues.

She will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Robert and Anne Damiano, as well as her sister and brother-in-law, Caroline and Loukas Flamos. She is a cherished granddaughter of the predeceased John and Mary Maher as well as the predeceased Helen and Sam Damiano. Her extended family, comprised of many loving uncles, aunts, and cousins will keep her in their hearts. She leaves behind a cherished rabbit, Leland.
