On Sunday, September 25th, 2016, Overlook Auxiliary Twig #5 and the Atlantic Home Care and Hospice are sponsoring a Sunday Brunch Cruise to benefit Camp Clover, a children’s bereavement camp.  This historically fun and successful event begins at Lincoln Harbor in Weehawken and progresses down the Hudson River allowing its occupants to enjoy the amazing sights of the NYC skyline.  Boarding at 11:30 am, this two hour brunch cruise will showcase views of Battery Park, the World Trade Center, Brooklyn Bridge, Empire State Building, Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty.

About Camp Clover:  Atlantic Home Care and Hospice sponsor Camp Clover, a free, week-long summer bereavement day camp to help children and teens deal with the loss of someone close to them. Children ages 7 to 15 are invited to participate. Camp Clover is run by trained staff and volunteers and is funded strictly by donations.   To refer a child, volunteer or donate, call 973-379-8444.

About the Overlook Auxiliary:  For 100 years, the dedicated volunteers of the Overlook Auxiliary have cultivated a compassionate and comforting environment throughout the entire Overlook Medical Center community with active volunteering and imaginative fundraising.   The efforts of the Auxiliary provide many of the extras that make Overlook Medical Center so special to our area.  With over 300 active members, the Auxiliary supports important medical center programs including The Valerie Center for pediatric cancer and blood disorders, Camp Clover, the Eating Disorders Program, Hospice/Homecare, Oncology Center, Palliative Care, Pastoral Care, and Social Services.  We also fund annual nursing scholarships for deserving candidates and have contributed funding for large projects including the Caregiver's Center, the Emergency Department and the Pediatric Playroom.  The Auxiliary also runs a biennial Kitchen Tour which features several of the area's fabulous, private kitchens.
