\SUMMIT, NJ - A boutique jewelry shopping event -- entitled 'Sparkle, Shine, Shop, Support' -- will benefit Summit-based national nonprofit Family Promise on February 6, from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., at Kendra Scott at The Mall at Short Hills. The retailer will donate 20 percent of all sales to Family Promise that day in support of families in need.
The sale affords shoppers the opportunity to get a head start on Valentine’s Day by picking up something special for their special someone or to simply treat themselves, with the knowledge that their purchases will offer hope and the promise of home to children and families battling homelessness.
Founded in Summit in 1988, Family Promise has more than 200 Affiliates across the country and offers programs that focus on homelessness prevention, emergency shelter, and stabilization. The organization's efforts include providing emergency shelter that keeps families together, as well as individualized case management, financial literacy training, workforce development, health and wellness support, along with other tools and skills that empower families to achieve lasting independence.
