SUMMIT, NJ - Bridges Outreach, for the second consecutive time, has received a 4-Star rating from Charity Navigator, the charity educator's highest possible rating. A 4-star rating from Charity Navigator signifies that Summit-based Bridges exceeds industry standards for greater accountability, transparency, and for concrete results.

Glen Rock-based Charity Navigator is America's largest and most-utilized charity evaluator works to ensure that charitable donations go to efficient, accountable and transparent charities worthy of support. Last year alone, nearly ten million donors consulted Charity Navigator’s thousands of charity ratings for guidance in distributing billions of dollars in donations.

Founded in 1988, Bridges reaches out to the homeless in New York, Newark, Irvington, and Summit each week. Bridges Outreach is commemorating 30 years of helping neighbors in need who are homeless and food insecure. Over the years the organization and its volunteers have met many thousands of homeless individuals and delivered more than 100,000 meals and, literally, tons of clothing.

In 2014, Bridges opened Project Connect in Newark to offer case management services that lead to better health, jobs, and housing. In four years, Project Connect has helped find permanent housing for more than 100 people who were previously homeless.
