ELIZABETH, NJ - The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders -- in conjunction with Foodstock NJ and the Community FoodBank of NJ -- are requesting that residents donate non-perishable food items at the upcoming Summer Arts Concert Series event at Echo Lake Park.

All donated items will assist those area families in need who are dealing with food insecurity in their households.

Summer is a particularly difficult time of year for the nation’s food banks. Families with children who had been receiving free or reduced cost breakfast and/or lunch at school must find ways to replace those meals during summer break.
