SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Junior Fortnightly Club's (SJFC) 2018 Provisional Class will host a roller skating fundraiser, entitled 'Roll with Us', to benefit UIH Family Partners (UIH). The event will be held at the Florham Park Roller Rink on June 23, from 6 - 7:30 p.m., and will include roller skating, complimentary refreshments and raffles.
Each year, the entering members of the SJFC take on a “class-project” to raise funds for a New Jersey organization by means of an event or volunteer effort. Trenton-based UIH Family Partners empowers men, fathers and families to achieve self-sufficiency through workforce development, parenting education and family activities. The goal is to offer the community-wide benefits of having engaged, responsible men as fathers and citizens.
According to UIH, even small contributions can have a very real impact for these men. Examples of items the funds will be dispersed for include: bus pass to / from work ($10 donation), learning curriculum for two men ($25 donation), one hour of case management for a father ($50 donation), and online certification class ($100 donation).
Children of all ages are welcome to attend 'Roll with Us', with tickets priced at $30 for adults and $5 for children under the age of 13. To purchase tickets and-or make a donation, visit sjfclub.org.
The Summit Junior Fortnightly Club is a women’s social and philanthropic club dedicated to community service and outreach, with a focus on improving the welfare of families and children within local and area communities.
The Florham Park Roller Rink is located at 192 Ridgedale Avenue.
