SUMMIT, NJ - Student/Partner Alliance (S/PA), the Summit-based nonprofit that -- through mentoring support and tuition assistance -- empowers students from urban areas to achieve excellence, has added Rob Fowler and Father Robert J. Sandoz, OFM, to its Board of Directors.

Fowler. a Summit resident, and his wife Connie, have been S/PA mentors and partners since 2014. A financial advisor,  Fowler has served on the Board of Recreation in Summit and is currently a member of the finance committee for New Eyes for the Needy in Millburn.

Sandoz, also known as 'Father Bob', currently serves as the President of Cristo Rey Newark High School, where he currently runs a method of education that includes a rigorous program in academics, valuable work experiences and a strong value-based culture. The work study program allows the students to make tangible connections between working and learning that they would not otherwise get in a conventional classroom.

Student/Partner Alliance supports urban high school students in New Jersey with private tuition assistance and mentoring to increase their chances for college admission and scholarships, and to ultimately lead productive and successful lives.
