SUMMIT, NJ - The 2019 edition of 'February Fun Fest' --  the charity fundraiser began and sponsored by Summit residents Ryan and Dana Felmet, has raised $5,450 which will benefit three separate causes;

The third annual event was held February 16 at Summit Elks Lodge., and included guest speakers from each of the benefiting charities. light appetizers donated from local restaurants and businesses, raffle baskets donated by attendees and local businesses, and much more. ;February Fun Fest' 2019 beneficiaries are Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, the YWCA of Union County and the Cancer Research Institute. 

Alfred Massidas, CFO of Cancer Research Institute, who attended the event for the second straight year, said in response to the Felmets event, “It means so much to all of us at the Cancer Research Institute to have been named a charity beneficiary of this year’s 'February Fun Fest'. Donations that you, your family, and friends raised will fuel our mission to save more lives with immunotherapy research. Together, we will create a future immune to all cancers.”

Ryan Felmet noted, “Our community, family, and friends continue to show a remarkable sense of generosity and support to the event and its charitable causes. With their support, we have now raised over $14,000 for charity and given back over $5,000 in gifts to our community since 2017. We are so excited by the enthusiasm that we are already planning for next year!”
