SUMMIT, NJ - The City of Summit Economic Development Advisory Committee will host a public listening session on October 22 in an effort to obtain feedback on the future of the neighborhood business district in the area adjacent to Ashwood Avenue, Park Avenue and Broad Street from residents, businesses and property owners alike.

The session, which is scheduled for 7:30 - 8:30 p.m., will be held at the Summit Community Center, located at 100 Morris Avenue.

During the listening sessions, members of the all-volunteer EDAC and elected officials will be present to obtain input from the community on how to best support growth and enhancements in the area. This will be the first in a series of listening sessions held in neighborhoods throughout Summit.

“It is essential to develop an understanding of citizen priorities in neighborhoods throughout Summit,” said Summit Mayor Nora Radest. “By meeting with the people who live and work in the Broad Street area, the Economic Development Committee is taking an important step in making its work reflective of the needs and wants of the community. I look forward to participating.”
