SUMMIT, NJ - Guidelines issued by the State of New Jersey Department of Health and the closing of Summit City Hall will result in the March 24 Summit Common Council meeting being available to the public via remote access only. The meeting's agenda is posted on the City's website.

To view the meeting -- which will begin at 6:30 p.m. -- as it happens, citizens are advised to watch the broadcast on HTTV Verizon channel 30 and Comcast channels 36 and 34. To provide for public input, Common Council is accepting comments and questions in advance of the meeting and during the meeting. Questions can be submitted by email to cityclerk@cityofsummit.org.

To have a question read during the meeting, the full name and address of the sender must be listed in the body of the email. If possible, Council requests that the email include a few words indicating the topic of the question or comment in the subject line. Only emails properly identified with the full name and address of the sender will be read publicly during the meeting.

“We appreciate the patience of the public during these challenging times,” explains Common Council President Marjorie Fox. “While not ideal, these measures will allow us to move important City business forward and ensure an option for public participation while protecting the health and safety of the public, governing body and City staff.”
