SUMMIT, NJ - Those wanting to grab a good book to curl up with by the fire on Thanksgiving Day need to know that the Summit Free Public Library will close early -- at 5 p.m. -- on Wednesday, November 27, and remain closed on Thursday, November 28 or Thanksgiving.

Regular Library hours are Mondays through Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 1 - 5 p.m. on Sundays. 

The drive-up Book drops located by the Cedar Street exit are open 24/7 for the return of all materials, including magazines, videos and compact discs.  No overdue fines are charged for days when the Library is closed.  

The Library is located at 75 Maple Street.
