SUMMIT, NJ - City of Summit officials have announced that a fourth case of COVID-19 in Summit has been confirmed by the Westfield Regional Health Department (WRHD).

The patient is a 51-year-old male resident who tested positive for the virus and is recovering at home. Contact tracing has been completed by the WRHD.

The latest case comes two days after two other COVID-19 cases were confirmed the WRHD: a 21-year-old female resident who tested positive for the virus and is recovering at home; and a 31-year-old Summit resident who tested positive for the virus and is recovering at home. Those cases were unrelated and both both investigations with contact tracing have been completed by the WRHD.

Earlier, a a 49-year-old male became the first confirmed Summit COVID-19 patient.
