SUMMIT, NJ - The recent expansion in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Summit continued with the confirmation today (March 24) that the Westfield Regional Health Department (WRHD) has informed the City of Summit of four new cases. The confirmations are the ninth in the last three days and bring Summit's total to 12 confirmed cases.

The new cases include:

  • 22-year-old male resident tested positive for the virus after recent travel and is recovering at home
  • 30-year-old female resident tested positive for the virus and is recovering at home
  • 37-year-old female resident tested positive for the virus and is recovering at home
  • 58-year-old male resident tested positive for the virus after recent travel and is recovering at home

Contact tracing has been completed by the WRHD, and all cases seem to be unconnected to other confirmed cases in Summit.
