SUMMIT, NJ - For the first time in almost two weeks, the City of Summit has been notified of new, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Summit by the the New Jersey State Department of Health. The two new cases raise Summit's case total since the pandemic began to 226.

Prior to the latest report, Summit had not seen a new case of the virus since July 14.

The Westfield Regional Health Department has confirmed that one of the new cases is an individual under the age of 18, with the other an individual in the 19 - 24-year-old age group.
