SUMMIT, NJ - Three new, positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported to the City of Summit by the New Jersey State Department of Health, bringing the City's total number of confirmed cases to 123.
The Westfield Regional Health Department (WRHD) has indicated that patient ages range from 20-years-old to 100, and that 15 patients are hospitalized. Further data supplied by the WRHD notes that:
- Eleven (11) cases are associated with a long-term care facility (resident or employee).
- Three (3) Summit residents have died as a result of COVID-19 or health complications caused by the virus.
- Two (2) of the deceased were from a long-term care facility.
- Fifteen (15) patients have self-reported recovery.
The WRHD continues to conduct contact tracing for all reported cases.
