SUMMIT, NJ - Crews today began installing six, outdoor 'parklets' in the Hiltop City, and two sections of Maple Street -- between Springfield Avenue and DeForest Avenue and Springfield Avenue and Union Place -- have been closed to create an area for on-street dining as the City of Summit embarks on an ambitious outdoor dining program spanning nearly 30 locations.
Alleys on Maple Street will remain open for access to Tier parking garage, adjacent businesses and for deliveries. In addition, the public space at Lyric Park has been expanded to create an area to enjoy a beverage or take-out meal.
