SUMMIT, NJ - Kent Place School will hold its third annual 'Girls Day 5K' run, walk and team event on October 5, with 'early bird' registration now available for the event, which is open to the general public.

The 'Girls Day 5K' is a timed, five kilometer run through the Kent Place School campus and the surrounding streets of Summit. At the same time, there will be a student-led educational festival with activities centered around International Day of the Girl (IDG), an annual day highlighting issues in girls’ education across the globe.

Proceeds from the 'Girls Day 5K' will benefit BlinkNow, an organization that provides support for girls and women in Nepal.
