SUMMIT, NJ - SAGE celebrated 65 years serving as a community leader in older adult care when it hosted a 'Birthday Bash' at Canoe Brook Country Club. The event paid homage to SAGE's Founders and the nonprofit’s story, which began in 1954 when a group of civil-minded volunteers saw a need in the community to help older adults and took action to make it happen.

The celebration honored SAGE longtime volunteer Kitty Hartman along with corporate partner PNC Bank. SAGE volunteer John Mell and his wife Anne of Summit served as guest speakers.

The event will feature a silent auction, which will include two rounds of golf at Canoe Brook Country Club, dinners at The Summit House, Fiorino and the Harvest Group Restaurants, a blue sapphire necklace from Schroth and Lorenson Jewelers in Summit and more.

Since 1954, SAGE Eldercare has been helping make the communities they serve an amazing place to age.  The organization provides a wide array of information, support, and services designed to help people lead the most independent and active lives possible. From helping with errands, to exercise classes, community programs, and home health care, SAGE’s helps older adults remain in their own homes.
