SUMMIT, NJ - Time to break out the dirndl dresses and lederhosen, as Reeves-Reed Arboretum is about to roll out the barrel, hosting a special Oktoberfest-themed edition of its popular Put the 'PUB' in Public Garden series on September 29, from 1 - 5 p.m. In true Oktoberfest style, all the fun will take place be under a large tent.
The Oom-pah band Doppelgänger will provide the soundtrack to the festive fall afternoon, which will feature Warsteiner Beer supplied by Peerless Beverage and bratwurst and pretzels from The Meat House.
Brewed in Amsberg Forest Nature Park in North-Rhine Westphalia, Germany, Warsteiner is considered one of Germany’s leading premium pilsner brands. Doppelgänger is a 5-piece band dressed in German attire, featuring an accordion, clarinet, tuba, guitar, drums and vocals.
There will also be special prizes for the best costume.
A fundraiser for the Arboretum, admission s $100 per person with a special Arboretum member rate of $75 per person for a limited time. Admission includes bottomless beer, a bratwurst, and a pretzel.
Purchases of eight or more in one transaction will guarantee a reserved table for that party. All those attending must be 21 years-of-age or older.
