SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Junior Fortnightly Club (SJFC) will host meetings for prospective new members on January 22 and January 23, beginning at 7:30 p.m. each evening, at Twin Maples in Summit. Attendees will learn more about the women’s social and service organization, which is dedicated to volunteerism and fundraising with a focus on improving the welfare of families and children within the Summit and neighboring communities.

The SJFC supports local and area communities through:

  • Signature Spring & Fall Fundraising Events
  • SJFC-Hosted Community Programs
  • Volunteer Efforts
  • Social Activities

Membership provides an opportunity to build lasting friendships on a foundation of common values and shared experiences. The SJFC meets monthly, gatherings that serve as a platform for planning events and volunteer activities, socializing, and hearing from local speakers on topics of interest. Members may get involved at the level and frequency they choose – from simply participating in volunteer and social activities to leading event committees or chairing signature events.

The SJFC is not limited to Summit residents, as its members hail from many towns, including New Providence, Chatham and Berkeley Heights. Those interested in finding out more information are encouraged to contact Hazel Tatosian at or Shelly Davies at and visit:
