SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Free Public Library has been awarded a Google that will provide training for entrepreneurs, small business owners, non-profits, and job seekers covering Google Analytics training, marketing and business development tools, and job search skills. The grant, part of Libraries Lead with Digital Skills, an initiative of the American Library Association (ALA), the Public Library Association (PLA), and 'Grow with Google' and covers four programs that the library will be offering during the month of March.
Google Analytics Crash Course for Entrepreneurs, Small Businesses, Non-Profits, and Job Seekers
Instructor Ben Friedman of Village Marketing Company will provide an overview of Google Analytics -- followed by a Q & A -- on March 17, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Attendees will learn how to measure all types of online marketing activities; how to use Google Analytics to identify opportunities to optimize marketing campaigns by looking at 'bounce rates' and other key indicators on your website; and how to confidently understand and use the reports found in Google Analytics and how to read them.
Tips and Tools to Market Your Business Using Google Products and Services
Rita Williams-Bogar, Founder, Personal Development Solutions will lead a workshop on March 18, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., that addresses a challenge many entrepreneurs and business owners face, "How do I get my business in front of my ideal customers?" Attendees will also learn what tools are available to help them develop as business owners. Marketfinder, Sites, Google Trends, Mentoring, and other tools and resources will be covered in this informative session.
Tips and Tools to Generate Revenue for Your Business Using Google Applications
Williams-Bogar's second session, on March 18 from 1 - 3 p.m., will focus on how to monetize one's business -- whether just getting started or already up and running. Generating revenue from apps, Google Play, and using Google Identity Platform are a few of the tools and tips that will be covered in this session.
Tools and Resources for Your Job Search
Michelle Martin from New Start Career Network will conduct an informative job search workshop on March 25, from 12 - 2 p.m., detailing tools one can use to optimize their search. Attendees will learn how to find jobs and locate job training programs using 'Google Search'; get the most from Google Calendar in your job search; use Google Drive to organize their search and ensure that they can respond to employer inquiries for information anytime, anywhere; and use Google Alerts to stay on top of developments, trends, and information about networking contacts
All classes are free of charge and open to individuals from the greater Summit area, not just Summit residents.
