SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Police Athletic League (PAL) Halloween Parade will be the featured event in a weekend that promises to be scary good in the Hilltop City.
The parade, a joint effort of the Summit P.A.L. and the City of Summit Department of Community Programs, is set for October 26 beginning at 3 p.m. Parade participants are invited to gather at 25 Deforest Avenue at 2:45 p.m. for the escorted procession to the Village Green, where costume judging, games and music will take place until 4:15 p.m. when the costumed winners will be announced. Following the awards ceremony, entertainment will continue until 5 p.m.
The event rain date is October 27.
On October 27, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., families are invited to come dressed in costume and enjoy a free 'Fall Family Photo Booth' at the Summit Farmers Market. The Market is located in the Park and Shop Lot #2 on the corner of Deforest Avenue and Maple Street.
And, the kids' costumes will get another workout October 31, from 2:30 - 4 p.m., when children are invited to trick-or-treat in downtown Summit at businesses with a Halloween sign displayed in their window.
