SUMMIT, NJ - Registration is now open for Summit Youth Football's fall season. Program options include:

Three Grades K-3: Flag Football

Teams will be formed with consideration to elementary school. Flag Football provides young players the opportunity to engage in non-contact, continuous action while improving basic skills. With an emphasis on participation and sportsmanship, this exciting program will help players succeed both on and off the field.

Grades 2-3: Saturdays and Sundays, from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Grades K-1: Saturdays and Sundays, from 12 - 1 p.m.

Season runs September 12 through November 1

Cost is $120 per participant

Grades 4-5: Elite Flag Football

Program offers players an opportunity to develop fundamental football skills and confidence in a safe environment where limited contact is introduced.  This program is designed as s step between the Flag and Tackle programs. Players wear helmets and shoulder pads.  Games will be played in a 9v9 format where blocking and defensive contact are allowed.  Tackling and shoulder or helmet contact will NOT be allowed. ($170 per participant)

Practices are Wednesdays and Fridays, from 5:30 - 7 p.m.

Games are Saturdays, from 10 - 11 a.m.

Season runs September 9 through October 31

Cost is $170 per participant

Grades 6-8: Tackle Football

Teams will be formed according to their age, grade, and weight coefficient plan. They will participate in the New Jersey Suburban Youth Football League, playing against teams from surrounding towns.

Preseason Practices are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Regular Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays, from 8 - 10 a.m.

Preseason begins on August 10 and the Regular Season on September 8

Games to be held on Sundays

Cost is $270 per participant

Equipment

Players will receive their equipment on the first week of practice. Elite Flag participants must purchase turf cleats and mouth guard. Tackle participants must purchase white football pants with pads, football mouth guard, all-purpose shoes and an athletic supporter with cup.
