SUMMIT, NJ - Does your family have skills?
Summit's Other Fellow First Foundation is providing a unique way to for Hilltop City households to show their creative sides as it prepares to again put the 'fun' in fundraiser as it stages the Summit 'Virtual Family Talent Show'.
In the spirit of the super-successful and popular 'Front Porch Family Portrait' campaign -- facilitated by Peter Wallburg Studios -- the Foundation looks to partner with Summit-area families and promote togetherness while raising much-needed money for local families in crisis.
The Foundation will offer prizes for family-produced videos created during the current stay-at-home environment. Families may perform dance routines, songs, comedy skits… the more creative and fun, the better. The Foundation will select First-, Second- and Third-Place finishers and make cash donations to the winning families’ favorite Summit-area charities.
Videos should be no longer than 90 seconds and may be in almost any format: smart phone video, TikTok, Vimeo, YouTube -- basically, anything that can be sent via email.
First prize is $1,250, Second prize is $500 and Third prize is $250. Prize winners will be posted at OtherFellowFirstFoundation.org.
The contest will commence on Mother’s Day (May 10) and end on May 24. Participating families should send their videos to OFellowFirst@gmail.com.
As was the case with the Front Porch fundraiser, participating families are encouraged, but not required, to make a donation to the Foundation's Go Fund Me fundraiser benefiting the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad, SAGE, SHIP, Loaves and Fishes and GRACE. To date, the Foundation has raised $65,000 of their original goal of $75,000.
The Other Fellow First Foundation exists to help Summit-area families in distress and hopes the community will respond as generously as it did to the Front Porch fundraiser, which raised $12,000.
