SUMMIT, NJ - If shopping, dining and, well, just plain celebrating is on your holiday want-to do list, then the Hilltop City is an ideal destination, especially on December 7, when Summit Downtown, Inc. invites the community to come downtown and 'Celebrate in Summit'.

Planned activities include:

  • \Music throughout town.
  • Delicious hot chocolate will be served.
  • Horse and Carriage rides, from 1 - 4 p.m. at Lyric Park (corner of Beechwood Road and Bank Street).
  • Winners for the Shop Summit Passport will be drawn at 4 p.m.

What's that? Have to watch the kiddos? The Summit YMCA will be offering free babysitting complete with pizza and activities, from 1 - 4 p.m, so 'the adults' can enjoy a night out on the town. Babysitting is free, but registration is required and available by calling 908-273-3330.

Oh, and about those kiddos: stay tuned as information has come into the TAPinto Summit newsroom that a large, fantastically jolly man in a red suit with white trim may be paying a visit to the 07901 early that very same evening.
