MONTCLAIR, NJ - The cast, crew and production team of Summit High Schools fall 2019 production of 'Clue, On Stage' has been honored with the Overall Outstanding Production of a Comedic Adaptation of a Literary Work Award at the Montclair State Theatre Awards. The honor marks the second year in a row the Kent Place Boulevard campus' performing arts team has brought home the top award, having won in 2019 for 'Peter and the Starcatcher'.
In addition, Iain Alvidrez -- also for the second year in a row -- captured the Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actor in a Comedic Adaptation of a Literary Work Award for his role as Wadsworth, and David McQuillen-Roberston and Stephanie Gallegos won the Outstanding Achievement in Scenic Design Award.
Middle School Honors
Ryan Grondin won the Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actor in a Middle School Production Award for his role as Detective Bud Frazer in 'That's the Spirit!', and Ashley Raven brought home the Jo Anne Fox Newcomer Award -- given to a first-year theater director who "is an inspiration to his/her students, whose passion for theater is infectious and who creates a community, a loving extended family in his/her school in the process of producing high quality productions.".
