MILLBURN, NJ - Summit High School's spring musical production of 'Pippin' has earned five Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards. Sophie Li earned the Student Achievement Award for Stage Management, vocal director Dan King and orchestra director Steve Rapp each earned Outstanding Music Direction, Outstanding Orchestra, and Outstanding Chorus, while Kelly Mott-Sacks won the award for Outstanding Choreography.

The Hilltoppers received 16 Final Rising Star Nominations and, as one of the seven schools nominated for Best Overall Production of a Musical, the Summit 'Pippin' company performed "Magic to Do" during the ceremony.

Featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger O. Hinson, 'Pippin' telling the musical story of a young Prince's quest for a lifetime filled with true happiness and fulfillment, following the Prince's life-journey through war, romance and political intrigue before he finally discovers that the extraordinary life he is seeking is available only thorough the ordinary things and moments in life.
