SUMMIT, NJ - The Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School Theatre Department will perform the Broadway musical version of 'Little Women' on March 20 and 21. 'Little Women the Musical' is based on the semi-autobiographical 1868 novel by Louisa May Alcott, which has been adapted for the stage in a book by Allan Knee, with lyrics by Mindi Dickstein and music by Jason Howland.

Performances are March 20 at 7:30 p.m. and March 21 at 6 p.m. Tickets, priced at $11 each, are now on public sale and available by visiting http://lcjsms.booktix.com. Tickets will also be sold in person at the middle school during school lunch periods from Mach 18 - 21, as well as at the door, subject to availability.

Set in the Civil War era, the story follows the lives of four sisters -- Josephine (Jo), Meg, Beth and Amy -- in a timeless tale of personal discovery, hope, heartache and love, with protagonist Jo embarking on an evolutionary quest to sell the stories she has authored for publication.

Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School is located at 272 Morris Avenue.
