Summit F.D. Puts Down Brush Fire Threatening Multiple Homes

SUMMIT, NJ - An approximately quarter-mile long brush fire, which began along the railroad tracks and climbed the adjacent hillside and threatened numerous Summit residences, was extinguished by the Summit Fire Department (SFD) Friday afternoon, preventing damage to the nearby homes.

At 1:53 p.m., the SFD was dispatched to the blaze next to the tracks along Park Avenue.
