SUMMIT, NJ - Bob Flanagan has been reelected President, as has Vice President John Christman, Corresponding Secretary Fred Schwarzmann and Treasurer Dave Bernstein as the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad announced its 2020 leadership team. Nancy Weeks, a previous Board member, is the new Recording Secretary.

Returning Trustees Beverly Brown, Marco diMayorca, and Carl Ganger will be joined by Kevin Caropreso, Robert Endress, and Mel Harari. Kari Phair will continue to serve as the Squad’s Chief assisted by line officers: Deputy Chief Matt Raymond, Records Lieutenant Mel Harari, Equipment Lieutenant Robert Endress, Maintenance Lieutenant Richard Raymond and a new Training Lieutenant Paul Raynolds.

As she has done for the past three years, Mayor Nora Radest visited the Squad to perform the swearing in ceremony.

The all-volunteer Summit First Aid Squad -- which responds to emergency calls 24/7 -- is entirely funded through private donations and does not bill for service. The Squad has 90 members, including 20 junior members, and is always looking for new volunteers to join its ranks. All needed training, uniforms and equipment is provided.
