SUMMIT, NJ - Designed for those who don't consider themselves religious or who don't regularly attend church, St Teresa of Avila Parish will host it first Adult virtual ALPHA series for the spring, offering participants 21 years-of-age and older a chance to explore purpose, meaning and life's questions in a friendly, open and informal environment.
This series will occur over a seven-week period through Zoom starting May 13 at 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to join in a casual, relaxed mindset... maybe even with their own dinner & drinks at hand. Each meeting will start with initial greetings, quick introductions, a Q&A portion and a video, followed by discussion. No question is too insignificant. St Teresa's Faith Formation staff will be on hand to host the event.
The goal is to build relationships, foster conversation and encourage curiosity about the Catholic faith in a comfortable/non-threatening setting.
While COVID-19 has physically closed the Church, St Teresa is launching the pilot series virtually. If, by the end of June, restrictions have been lifted and attendees feel comfortable, ALPHA may gather for a meal or a social gathering. As of this moment, ALPHA is 100% virtual.
