FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ - Katia Carnevale scored her 50th goal of the season and then just kept right on going, potting four more and leading the Summit High School Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team to a comprehensive 17-4 victory over Ramapo.

The junior's quintet of tallies raises her season total to 54 goals, and the win lifts the Maroon and White's season slate to 13-2 and came less than 48 hours after the Hilltoppers claimed their ninth Union County Tournament (UCT) crown in the past 10 years by virtue of a 10-8 triumph over Oak Knoll -- Summit's second conquest of the in-town rival Royals this season.

Senior Emily Paytas had a Hat Trick, and four girls from the 07901 -- senior captain Helen Louise Johnson along with juniors Julia Szynal, Anna Huntley-Robertson, and Anna Griffith -- all notched a pair of goals.

Senior captain Amy Martino -- heroic between the pipes in the UCT Final -- had a much less stressful day against the Raiders, making three stops. Sophomore Sara McGhee spelled Martino and was credited with one save. Senior Ava Spotts had three assists and Huntley-Robertson added a pair of helpers.

Senior captain and defender Kaleigh Brennan scored her first goal of the season in a game that saw the Hilltoppers build a 10-3 first-half advantage and then tack on a tidy 7-1 final 25 minutes for good measure.

Abigail Buczek scored three goals for Ramapo, while goalie Jordana Felixbrod had 12 saves despite allowing 17 goals.

Summit now returns home to face Morristown under the lights on the Upper Turf Field May 9, Game time is set for 7 p.m.
