BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Representing a defensive unit that stopped its opponent cold all-afternoon long, Summit defensive back Evan Duetsch has been named the Salerno Duane Summit High School Football Player of the Game for the 50-0 Maroon and White-wash of Governor Livingston.

Duetsch was the architect of two moments that typified Summit's defensive dominance, stepping in front of a Highlander throw in the second quarter and intercepting the pass, then running 15-yards to the end zone for the exclamation point score that raised The 'Top's lead to 36-0.

Earlier, the senior helped get Summit tremendous field position with a corner blitz that resulted in a punishing sack of the quarterback and a huge loss of yardage for the home team in its own territory.
