OLNEY, MD - Senior captain Anna Griffth scored six goals and the Summit High School Girls Varsity Lacrosse bounced back from their first defeat of 2019 in a big way by beating Our Lady of Good Counsel, 17-9. The win gives the Hiltoppers a split of their two-game trip to the nation's capital, and comes just 48 hours after the Maroon and White fell to Georgetown Visitation Prep 11-10 on a goal inside the game's final 90 seconds.

Versus the Falcons, Summit's senior captains were near unstoppable, with Griffith (6), Julia Szynal (4), Katia Carnevale (4) and Anna-Huntley Robertson (2) combining for 16 of the team's 17 scores. Junior Bridget Moriarty had the other Hilltopper goal and, like Huntley-Robertson, added a pair of assists.

Sophomore Dianna D'Onfrio (4) and junior Sarah McGhee (2) teamed up to make six stops between the pipes as Summit improved to 6-1 on the season.

Summit now returns home to face Mountain Lakes on the Upper Turf Field April 16. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
