SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team won their fifth game in six outings, defeating AL Johnson 53-40 at the Main Gym. Sophomore Olivia Lawlor led all scorers with a boffo 18-point, 17-rebound Double-Double, and junior captain Kiran McCormick added 13 points and five 'boards as the Hilltoppers improved to 11-7.

The Maroon and White left no doubt, 'winning' each of the first three quarters and piling up a 21-point lead after three, 45-24. Summit junior captain Annabella Yorio danced with a Double-Double herself, scoring eight points and snaring eight rebounds.

Katie Ledden and Lily Gull each had 12 points for the Crusaders, with Ledden adding 10 rebounds for a Double-Double of her own.

Summit is back on Hilltopper hardwood February 11 when they take on New Providence. Tip-off is to set for 7 p.m.
