SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit High School Boys Varsity Volleyball Team beat Plainfield in three games to improve their season slate to 7-3. The Hilltoppers emerged victorious with a 25-18, 26-28, 25-19 triumph at the Main Gym.

Junior Cole Model ran the show with four aces and 16 assists, with classmates Dante Ardolino (4), David Axtell (5) and Harry Walsh (5), along with senior Josh Baier (5) combining for 19 kills. The win was Summit's fifth 'W' in its past six matches.

Axtell and Baier were having their way at the net as Summit won the first game in fine fashion and was cruising 22-15 in the second game before Head Coach John Ross went to his bench, which coincided with the Cardinals storming back.
