The Highlanders came into the contest with a 5-11 record but, on this night, gave the home team all it could handle. Summit actually trailed by a bucket after the opening eight minutes and, despite claiming the second quarter, itself led by just a deuce at the break, 27-25.

If there was a deciding phase of the contest it was the third quarter, with the Hilltoppers outscoring the visitors 16-8 to take a 10-point lead to the final frame. From there, Summit had to managed its way home and did to earn the 'W'. The boys from the 07901 have now not lost in more than a month.

Next up for Summit is a home matchup versus Hillside February 13. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m
