SUMMIT, NJ - A pair of goals from senior captain Jose Osorio was enough to do the trick as the Summit High School Boys Varsity Soccer Team won for the fifth time in six matches, defeating Franklin Lakes 4-0 at Tatlock Park. Summit is now 6-2-1 on the season.

Seniors Owen Healy and Chris Merola also found the back of the net, with Meola's goal the first of his Varsity career.

Senior captain Jake Maslin kept the clean sheet in goal, making five saves.

The Maroon and White will next get a second shot this season at highly-ranked Elizabeth, when the Minutemen visit Tatlock Park September 26 for a 4 p.m. kick-off. Summit will be looking to avenge a 2-1 defeated suffered at Elizabeth on September 10.

Girls Fall to Blue Devils

Sophomore Natasha Kim scored but the Summit High School Girls Varsity Soccer team lost their third consecutive match, dropping a 3-1 decision at Westfield. The Hilltoppers are now 2-5-1 on the season.

Summit returns home to face Scotch Plains-Fanwood September 26. The match on the Upper Turf Field kicks-off at 4:30 p.m.
