SUMMIT, NJ - No less than a dozen Hilltoppers scored on the day -- led by junior captain Annabella Yorio's game-high 17 -- as the eighth-seeded Summit High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team began their NJSIAA Tournament trek by overwhelming ninth-seeded Orange, 66-14 at the Main Gym.

Dominating from the get-go, the Maroon and White led 14-2 after one quarter of play and in a football-like score of 38-6 at the half. Relaxing just a bit, Summit claimed the second half 28-8 to win by 52.

Junior Sarah Maldonado and sophomore Olivia Lawlor had nine points each, with sophomore Laurel Zona (8) close behind. Impressively seven Hilltoppers --  Lawlor (7), Zona (6) junior Riley Sidebottom (5), freshman Samantha Mercurio (5), sophomore Mary Kate Cahill (5), Maldonado (5) and Yorio (4) -- had at least four rebounds.
