SUMMIT, NJ - Senior captain Sylvie Goudreau scored 11 points and junior Sarah Maldonado added 10 as the Summit High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team bounced right back from a tough road loss at Chatham by soundly defeating Union 45-20 at the Main Gym.

Goudreau added six rebounds and sophomore Olivia Lawlor chipped in eight points and seven boards, while junior Riley Sidebottom notched six points and three rebounds. The Hilltoppers overwhelmed the Farmers from the get-go, leading 17-3 after the opening frame, 31-7 at the half, and 43-11 at the conclusion of the third quarter.

Juliana Gore led Union with seven points.

Summit, now 4-2 on the season, stays home to next take on Westfield January 7 at the Main Gym. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
