SUMMIT, NJ - 'The Diary of Anne Frank', an enduring tale of hope that captures the claustrophobic realities of eight people hiding from the Nazis in a concealed storage attic in war-torn Amsterdam, will be staged at The Summit Playhouse beginning February 28.
Anne Frank’s daily existence – her fears, her hopes, her laughter, her grief and her family’s desperate attempt to preserve humanity in an inhumane world – drive the transcendently powerful, true-life tale.
Written by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, adapted by Wendy Kesselman and directed by Karen Thornton, the new adaptation includes newly-discovered writings from Anne Frank’s diary.
Performances are February 28 and 29, March 6, 7, 13 & 14 at 8 p.m., and March 1 and 8 at 2 p.m. Tickets, priced at $25 for general admission and $20 for seniors (65+) and students (19 and under) -- are available by visiting app.arts-people.com.
