SUMMIT, NJ - Volunteers with qualified finance and business expertise are being recruited to lend their assistance and knowledge to Summit's small business owners relative to the coronavirus-induced financial relief programs offered by the State of New Jersey Economic Development Authority, Small Business Administration, and other Federal. State, County and local resources.

The effort -- spearheaded by Summit Mayor Nora Radest and Summit Downtown, Inc. -- would see the volunteer citizens working directly and remotely with small businesses during the week of March 30 to help proprietors identify assistance options and complete required paperwork. 

“We have tremendous human capital in our city that can provide an immediate benefit to our small business owners,” said Radest. “Over the past few weeks, our community has come together to support residents in need, and I have been hearing from many more people that would like to help. I encourage you to join me in doing everything we can to support local business.”
