Just days before they put on Alice in Wonderland on the Summit Middle School stage, The Connection's theater campers got an extra special treat this week when Hamilton National Tour actor Daniel Belnavis stopped by to lead a workshop with the 'Stars on Stage', 'Rising Stars', and 'Backstage Pass" campers.

Belnavis led the class in warm-ups, voice exercises and tongue twisters -- both of which he uses before he performs on stage -- followed by singing and acting games played with the kids to help them become more comfortable being in the spotlight while having fun with their fellow castmates.

Once the games finished, Belnavis taught original choreography to 'My Shot'. All campers and counselors joined in on the fun to learn the steps to one of the most famous numbers from Hamilton. Following the dance, campers sat down for a Q&A, with one of the big takeaways being to follow one's passion, whether it be theater or anything else, and to always keep improving and never stop practicing.
