Stay-at-home mom Katherine Stabile of Freehold captured the Pumpkin Bread / Muffin crown at the Summit Farmers Market after her Pumpkin Muffins with Streusel and Cinnamon Glaze were judged to be tops.
Summit Downtown, Inc. (SDI) and the Market hosted the contest, which drew 20 entrants and provided a delicious dilemma for judges Mary Cummins, Ester Mallach and Nancy Adams.
Summit residents Michelle Buckner’s -- who took second-place with her Pumpkin Bread recipe -- and Becky Zacharias in third with Zacharias Family Mini-Pumpkin Muffins represented the 07901 in style. The three winning recipes can be found on summitdowntown.org.
The Market, run by Summit Downtown, Inc. (SDI) and located in the Park & Shop Lot #2, at the corner of DeForest Avenue and Maple Street, is open every Sunday through November 24 from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. The Summit Farmers Market will open for the 2020 season on April 26.
