More than 100 folks marched through the Hilltop City yesterday in 'The People's Protest', which was organized by student activists, community members and college students native to Summit who are dedicated to racial justice.

The organizers' stated goals for the event were to "raise awareness for the national struggle for justice against police brutality; provide the community with access to political education; address race-related issues in the town of Summit; and build the foundation for understanding and reconciliation."
