Barbara Romano, Karen Schneider, Pam Kuhn, John Blomfield and Francie Cho gathered to celebrate Lois Schneider Realtor's continuing commitment to the Summit Luminary Fund Project, a tradition that began 37 years ago and which generated more than $85,000 for local charities in 2018.
Since the Project's inception, Lois Schneider Realtor has been its underwriter, guaranteeing that -- on December 24 each year -- the Hilltop City's streets will be alight with a magical, festive glow. Last year alone, approximately 36,000 luminaries were purchased in order to line the streets of Summit.
Funds raised through luminary sales brighten the lives of many in need throughout the year. This year’s recipients are: ABC Area Baby Center, Bridges' Summit School Supply Drive, Christ Child Society of Summit Layette Program, Family Promise of Union County, SAGE Eldercare Spend-A-Day, Summit Santa Claus Shop, SHIP Summit Helping Its People, Summit’s Senior Connections, Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad, and The Valerie Fund’s Camp Happy Times.
“We are proud to work with the Summit Luminary Fund and the nonprofit beneficiaries that contribute so much to our town. At Lois Schneider Realtor we are committed to helping support their work," said Karen Schneider, President of Lois Schneider Realtor.
