After getting a little good-natured payback against the team that thwarted their attempt for an undefeated season, members of the Summit Maroon 9U competitive fall baseball team celebrate with some frozen treats.

The 'Marooners' beat the team from 'In The Zone Baseball Academy' -- a unit which defeated them in Denville a few weeks earlier --  in the USABL championship game, dominating from beginning to end and playing fundamentally sound baseball throughout a 14-2 victory.

Summit Maroon 9U finished its championship fall ball season with a 10-1 record, posting a team earned run average (ERA) of 3.745 to go along with a team batting average of .346. They also achieved a 98% team stolen base percentage, saw back-to-back no hitters thrown by Maroon pitchers Will Haggard, Will Aimette, Charlie Edgar, Ari Kanter, and Matthew Smith, and had Stephen Kmiec, Charlie Edgar, and Ari Kanter each hit a 'dinger' in the same game.
