UNION, NJ – In celebration of Earth Day, the Township of Union is sponsoring an Earth Day poster contest for all Union residents.

“We want our residents to not only keep Union clean, but also take pride in their communities,” said Committeeman Clifton People, Jr.  “This poster contest is a way for them to show just how proud they are to live in Union, and encourage others to do their part to make sure Union stays clean and beautiful for everyone.”

The requirements for the contest are:

  • The poster must be 11 x 17
  • The artwork should feature the theme of “Think Union, Think Green & Keep it Clean”
  • Poster should be submitted online through www.uniontownship.com; in person at Town Hall; or mailed to Town Hall at 1976 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ  07083, Attn:  Natalie Pineiro, Public Information Office.

Contest deadline is April 21.  First, second and third place winners will be recognized at a Township Committee meeting.  The first place winner will have their artwork turned into a permanent sign in various Township parks.
